Six words? Write a short story.

October 31, 2006

I think Wired is on to something, here. They’ve published a huge number of science fiction stories in print and on their website, in which the authors - famous, all of them - were asked to use just six words.

The results are gold. Just gold.

Computer, did we bring batteries? Computer?
- Eileen Gunn

I’m dead. I’ve missed you. Kiss … ?
- Neil Gaiman

The baby’s blood type? Human, mostly.
- Orson Scott Card

Now, if only I were a famous sci-fi author.
